Rev. Barrett Abernethy is a native Texan, and holds degrees from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX and the University of Alabama. He attended seminary at Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in Austin, TX, and graduated with an MDiv in 2013. Barrett has a passion for ministry. He particularly enjoys worship formation, community building, and helping people sense the presence of God in their daily lives. In his spare time he likes visiting historic sites, reading, and attending Alabama football games. Barrett is married to Braegan, a librarian at the University of West Alabama, and they reside in Livingston with their daughter Evelyn and two pets.

Paul is currently on faculty at the University of West Alabama where he is Professor of Piano. Gifted on both the piano and organ, Paul holds degrees from Virginia Tech, Tennessee, and Arizona State University. He has served churches in various states previously and prior to coming to UWA was an accompanist at Northern Arizona University.
Janice Greenwood joined our staff in 2015 after completing a 30 year career in the Army Reserve. She obtained her accounting degree from the University of West Alabama. She and husband, Jim, returned to Sumter county after both retired from the military.
